Join us on a behind the scenes tour as we examine the lives of individual Virginia mothers and explore how society’s concept of motherhood has changed over time—from the cult of republican motherhood to the challenges of present-day working mothers.
This single-session class will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. Join us as we show you how we care for our collections at the VHS and what you can do to take care of your treasures at home.
Join us for a free screening of "Remote Area Medical." This screening is part of the "Created Equal" film and discussion series that focuses on themes related to civil rights, human rights, and social justice in American history.
