An Institute and Reception with Guest Instructor and Appraiser, Ken Farmer

Do you have a Southern Treasure at home that you have always wanted to learn more about? Now is your chance. During our “With a Collector’s Eye” institute, Ken Farmer, president of Quinn & Farmer Auctions, will choose 10 submitted treasures to appraise during the institute.

For the chance to have your treasure included, please submit a photograph and brief history (no more than 500 words) of your Southern treasure - furniture, quilt, folk art, decorative art object - by Friday, August 22. Limit one submission per person. If your treasure is one of ten chosen, you will be our guest at the program and your treasure will be appraised during the class.

Submit to: Lizzie Oglesby at loglesby@vahistorical.org or mail Lizzie Oglesby, Virginia Historical Society, P.O. Box 7311, Richmond, VA 23221-0311.
