It's been said that clothes make the man but women know that it is the accessories that make an outfit. Fabulous fans, beautiful belts, gorgeous gloves, and a treasure trove of hats and jewelry are just a few of the fashion accoutrements that adorned our stylish sisters of the past. We'll take a walk down the historical runway to highlight women’s accessories in the collections of the Virginia Historical Society.
