My wife and I are small-time history buffs, and our VHS membership, with its lectures, magazines, and exhibits, keep history an active part of our lives.

One of the most anticipated VHS members-only events is the annual Garden Party at Virginia House. Only members and their guests may enjoy this afternoon of jovial camaraderie, excellent food, and refreshing mint juleps in beautiful gardens during one of the loveliest seasons in Virginia.
VHS members may join us for the “See You on the Bus” for our special day-long excursions to other historical sites across the state. These usually feature behind-the-scenes tours not usually open to the public or special tours of privately owned historic homes and collection.
