James Armistead Lafayette
James Armistead Lafayette was manumitted by the Commonwealth of Virginia for his services as a double agent during
the Yorktown campaign. This engraving couples his portrait by John Blennerhassett Martin with a facsimile testimonial
by the Marquis de Lafayette.
